Weekend Fun

Sunday, January 23, 2011

Today I was busy cleaning my ensuite, the girls were helping me with my list, Mikayla had just pulled all the pots and pans out so I could organise the cupboard, when Darren got home from golf and announced we were taking off to Balmoral Baths for the day with a couple of families from golf. So there I was finally on a roll with getting organised in my pj's , girls dressed in their daggest clothes, Alexis still in Pj's. I thought today was to be a hang at home day. He said can we be ready in 15 mins. I didn't second guess it, we were taking off for some quality family fun.  I left the ensuite, left the pots on the ground, and we got ready.

We had such a great family day, the girls are back at school in a week. I am glad we did something they really enjoyed.

Darren had so much fun jumping of here with the girls.

As we got in the car Darren picked all 4 of his girls a frangipani flower, On the way home we decided to stop of and pop them on Dad's grave. I at first was only going to put mine on but the girls were more then happy to give theirs up to put on Poppy's grave. We all had a little cry( It would of been Dad's birthday last Wednesday), but I am so glad we went it actually topped of our great day.

Everyone is now sound asleep all having had a great day and resting up before Mummy drags them for my kinda fun at Ikea tomorrow.

P.S Yes I haven't finished the challenge, Life happens and I wouldn't have it any other way.

P.P.S The pots did get put away when we got home, just have to rearrange it abit tomorrow, I kinda rushed putting it away. But I threw out lots. T

The baths look like a nice place to go to. It is always a pleasant idea to be able to just rush off somewhere special with family.

What a fun day with your family. Making memories is far more important than pots and pans. I'm off track but still organizing slowly. LOVE IKEA

Impromptu outings like yours are often the most fun :) And what a lovely gesture leaving your flowers on your dad's grave - I know how hard annivesaries like birthdays can be - thinking of you x

Just following you from 'A bowl full of lemons'. I'm going to join in the weekly challenges aswell and I would like to see what other people are doing to organise their homes. I would love it if you would follow me too at www.anorganisedmum.blogspot.com
It will be great if we all give each other encouragement.
Thanks
Sam
